Could it be another date?
I have checked my files. The location Canossa (I) appears only on the date 2nd May 1944. Crash of a B-24. German file references: ME 1071, DL 34/166-71, AV 1038.

Operations on 2nd May 1944 were:
Marshalling yards at Castel Maggiore and Parma, port facilities at La Spezia and rail bridges at Faenza.
2 B-24's went down. This is the few details I can tell you. One of the mentioned B-24's below crashed at Cannossa.
B-24 # 42-41240 "Sugar Baby" from 98th BG, 425th BS. Aircraft shot down. MACR 4725.
B-24 # 42-52454 "Southern Gal" from 464th BG, 779th BS. Lost caused a mid-air collision with another 464th BG B-24. MACR 5412.
On 9/10 November 1944, 15th AF is grounded by bad weather. Only operations is performed by medium bombers from 12th AF.
