Hello,
I am quite sure that you are referring to B-24H 42-52651 of the 487th Bomb Group, which was lost on May 28, 1944 and crashed near Xhoris. Four members of the crew evaded.
I wrote a book detailing the mission of May 28, 1944. It is called 'Mission 376, battle over the Reich'. You can find more details about it at www.hikokiwarplanes.com/376.htm
It is easily available through Amazon.
In case that you are interested in the history of the Group, the 487th, and operational life at Lavenham you may be interested in 'the history of the 487th Bomb Group' that I authored too. You can find all about it at http://members.aol.com/lhauenstn/487th/487thBook.htm
A photo of most of the crew is in both books. Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
