I am looking for any information concerning Sgt. Max Schwartz, who served as a radio-operator on B-17 # 42-3488. His aircraft was downed over the Netherlands on December 11, 1943 during the air-raid on Emden.

Mr. Schwartz likely was born on May 17, 1909 and passed away in August 1982 in the New York area. He was a son of Joseph and Rebecca Schwartz and had two brothers, William and Harold. They were residents of Kings County-New York.

On December 11, 1943 Sgt. Schwartz was assigned to the crew of 2/lt Edwin F. Pollock. Over the years, I have found all the crew-members and/or their families, except for Mr. Schwartz.

If anyone has known Sgt. Schwartz or has any other relevant information which can contribute to my research, please contact me.

Thank you!

Leeuwarden, The Netherlands,

Alexander Tuinhout
