P-38 claim on 11 May 1944 ?

On May 11, 1944 the commander of JG 1 Walter Oesau in BF-109 "Green 13" while leading three planes was reportably shot down near St Vith and kiled by P-38 escorts to US Bombers. Any claims by P-38 Figther Squadron Groups?
