Dear Sir / Madam

Im wondering if you could help me find surviving relatives of
"1st Lieutenant - Richard Everett Townsend USAAF (Service Number 0-823739)" , He was born on the 24th September 1923 and his last residing address was in Maxton, North Carolina. His Mother was "Lois G. Townsend" and he had a sister "Miss Sara H. Townsend" shortly after being "Mrs. Sara Townsend Moore" born in 1927 her last residing address in 1948 was Enoree, Spartanburg South Carolina. Lt Townsend had been stationed here in Northern Ireland shortly after completing his missions as a bomber pilot from england, he was assigned as a test pilot at Langford Lodge air depot B*A*D 3 AAF Station 597 which is just a few miles down the road from here. He was killed on the 12th March 1945 in an aircraft accident at Greencastle while ferrying an aircraft to Langford Lodge, i would be ever so greatful if you could help me find surviving relatives of Lt Townsend as i am aware the family was not given any information surrounding the circumstances on the loss of there loved one.

many thanks.

Yours Faithfully

W.Lindsay
